How Do Immigration Bonds Work?

Who Qualifies For An Immigration Bail Bond In California?
Not every individual is eligible for bond. Most Green Card holders and undocumented individuals may be eligible, provided they have not been charged with violent crimes, aggravated felonies, possession of certain narcotics, or are not suspected of terrorism. Possession of marijuana may be allowed, provided it is less than 30 grams of the drug.
The bond must be paid for by a legal immigrant or US citizen. An official Social Security card must be brought when posting bond.
In instances where someone has been held in detention for longer than six months, it may be possible to secure what is known as a “Rodriguez” bond to help secure their freedom.
