Rosa Lucia Contreras – Intake Manager
My family and I are from Chiapas, Mexico, and I am the fifth of six children. We lived in Reynosa, Tamaulipas for a while before immigrating to the United States in search for better opportunities. At first, we had our rough moments, but we were able to surpass those moments and settle in. I am the first to attend college from my family. My experiences as an immigrant make me love the work I do, because we are people that come into this country to better ourselves. I believe that anything is possible if you put your heart into it, and I also love giving back to the community.
Aside from loving what I do, I enjoy playing soccer, reading interesting books, cooking (even if I’m bad at it), spending time with my family and friends, exercising when I can, and let’s not forget, drinking coffee.
