Manuel Ugarte, Jr.

Manuel Ugarte, Jr. is the son of Mexican immigrant parents, and he is the
oldest of five children. He speaks Spanish, English, and conversational
Portuguese. He graduated from Penn State Law School, where he was a board
member of the Latino/a Law Students Association and the Public Interest
Law Group. He received his B.A. from the University of California, Santa
Barbara and studied a semester abroad at Lancaster University in Lancashire, England.
Prior to joining Landerholm Immigration, A.P.C., he worked on immigration and criminal defense matters at a boutique firm in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He has represented individuals and argued before immigration courts throughout the northeast region of the country. He also advocated for low-income and minority communities at the Greenlining Institute and sought to create pipeline programs for underrepresented youth in the science field through partnerships with biotechnology companies and grass-roots organizations. He loves working with immigrants because immigrants are hardworking, humble, and caring people who want the best for their families and communities.
He is also licensed to practice law in the state of Pennsylvania.
